Issue Management: Filter by Object

Why

Easily find the list of required issues by ability to filter issues based on objects

How     

- With this enhancement, you can now filter the issue list by objects to easily find required set of issues related to specific content.

- The new "Filter by Object" option is provided in the filter menu which opens the search field where you can enter the name of the object to filter.

- From the settings, you can select any of the following checkbox to decide the required criteria for filtering:

  • Affected Item
  • Resolved Item
  • Context

                                       

Support Route Information in Document Management App

Why

Make informed decisions on documents, through the new Approval Status column

How     
You can now add ‘Approval Status’ column to the documents data grid in 'Document Management' application.
The ‘Approval Status’ column allows you to view the approval status of a document based on the associated approval route/s.
By using the document context menu you can now:
  • Perform route actions (Approve, Reject, Abstain)
  • Display all approval processes associated with the document, by clicking on the ‘Approval Process’ command

Note: The ‘Approval Status’ column is not shown by default. You can enable it in the 'Custom Views' panel.

                                                 


3DXML Support for Document Downward

Why

Improve backward data sharing compatibility, by including document objects in 3DXML

How     
Backward compatibility on document objects is now supported, allowing you to share data corresponding to document objects from R2023x level to:
  • R2020x level
  • R2021x level
  • R2022x level

Edition of Classification Attributes in Data Grid View

Why

Boost productivity by editing classification attributes values in data grid view

How     
You can now set and edit the Classification Attributes values, directly in the data grid view in ‘IP Classify & Reuse’ app

                                                 


Widget Link - App Synchronization

Why

Keep consistency through widgets content synchronization

How     
You can now synchronize content and filters between linked widgets
To link between widgets, use the ‘Link with widgets’ command available in the widget drop down menu.
The supported widgets:
  • Product Structure Explore
  • Product Structure Editor
  • All widgets of the 3D Viewer family (3D Navigate, 3D Markup etc…)
Note: Content synchronization is not supported between two 3D Viewer widgets.


                                                 

Support Task Multi-Selection in Collaborative Tasks

Why

Improve productivity through multi-selection of tasks

How     
You can now drag and drop multiple tasks across columns or to another widget in ‘Collaborative Tasks’ app.
To multi-select tasks, you first need to enable the multi-select mode, using one of the following methods:
  • Click on  ‘Multiselect mode’ command available in the Tasks toolbar
  • Select ‘Multiselect mode’ from the drop down menu
  • Click on one of the Task’s icon.
When the multi-select mode is enabled, the tasks icons turn to gray check marks
When the task is selected the check mark turn blue


3D Navigate: Define a Start-up View

Why

Improve collaboration by easily sharing the required viewpoint of the product with any stakeholder

How     

- You can now define a startup view in the 3D Navigate app to automatically load an object with a specific viewpoint when you open the app afterwards.

- The new “Set as Startup View” option is provided in the bottom-right corner of the widget. You can position the product to the required viewpoint and select this icon to fix the viewpoint.

- You can define the start-up view in the 3D Navigate app and share the dashboard with other stakeholders. When they open the dashboard, the same startup view is also displayed to them.

Note: You cannot modify an existing startup view, but you can remove it and create a new startup view.

Bookmark Editor: Creating Bookmark Shortcuts

Why

Quick navigation to required bookmark by ability to create shortcuts of the bookmark

How     

- With this enhancement, you can now create shortcut of the bookmark in any other bookmark.

- To do that, you can copy the bookmark and go to the target bookmark where you want to create a shortcut.

- Upon selecting the Paste command from the context menu, a new dialog box is displayed. You can select the “Paste as a Shortcut” option which creates a shortcut of the copied bookmark in the target bookmark.

- When you double click on this shortcut, you are redirected to the original bookmark.

Notes:

  • A shortcut icon is added to this bookmark which distinguishes it from general bookmark
  • When you delete the original Bookmark, then shortcut is also removed.

                             

Relations: Enhancements in the Find Paths Panel

Why

Improve productivity and save time while finding paths between two relations

How     

- With this enhancement, the Find Paths panel has been improved to show you following two options when you select the start and stop objects:

  • Include all relations of the structure: This considers all the relations of the structure by searching for the parent/child relationship in the index.
  • Include only the relations in this session: This considers only the relations in the active session. All the relations in the active session are considered while computing the path

Change Action: Support User Groups as assignees and informed user

Why

Improve accuracy and save time by utilizing user groups to assign change action

How     
- You can now add a User Group as an Assignee or Informed Users of your change action.

- User Groups added as the Assignee or Informed Users are shown with user group thumbnail and name of the user group.
                          

Collaborative Space Configuration Center: Revision Format for Document

Why

Improve consistency by aligning the revision format of the document with other data types (Engineering Definition, other)

How     

- A new option is provided that lets your administrators independently select the "Primary" or "Primary and Secondary" Revision format for Documents in the Collaborative Space Configuration Center app.

- When the "Primary and Secondary" Revision format for Documents is selected, the Primary ID is incremented when the document released document is revised. Else, the secondary ID is incremented.
