Speed up productivity by editing office documents directly in the web browser.

How     

New setting, ‘Enable Office Document Editor’ is introduced.
The setting is available for administrators in the ‘Platform Management’ dashboard, under the ‘Content’ tab in the ‘Office Document Editor Control Center’ section.

By default, the setting is disabled.
When the setting is enabled, it allows:

• To open, edit and save office documents in the web browser.
• Multiple users to edit the same document in parallel and to see what changes is made by whom.

The icons and labels of the commands related to editing are modified.

Why

Improve productivity by reviewing MS Office documents directly in the 3D Markup app.

How     

You can now create a markup on the MS Office documents and review them by seamlessly collaborating with your team. 
Following types of MS Office documents are supported for review: .doc, .docx, .docm, .dot, .dotm, .dotx, .rtf, .ppt, .pptx, .pot, .potm, .potx, .pps, .ppsm, .ppsx, .pptm.

Easily share review details by exporting document review markup as PDF

How     

You can now export the markup created on the PDF documents or MS Office documents to the PDF file.  The new “Export to PDF” option is provided in the "Tools" tab of the action bar.

The review comments and annotations are embedded in the exported PDF.

Why

Ease product development revision control, through customer-defined revision sequences.

How     

Admin can now define a new revision sequence by uploading a JSON file that describes all extended revision sequences.

To upload the JSON file, use the new tab ‘Extended Revision Sequences Declaration’ available in the ‘Collaborative Space Configuration Center’ under ‘Revision Naming Rules’ category.

Note: The JSON file overrides any previous declarations, therefore it is recommended to download it first as a baseline for changes.

Electronic Signature record is now available in Route Management Widget.

To display the Electronic Signature Record, select ‘Esign Record’ from the task shortcut menu in the History tab of the Route.

How     

New tags are added to the 6WTags.
The new tags allow you to filter your search results, when searching for content consumed by routes.
The new tags are:

• ‘Approval Status’
• ‘Approved By’
• ‘Rejected By’
• ‘Abstained By’
• ‘Commented By’
• ‘Notification sent to’
• ‘Awaiting Approval of’                    

Why

Improve the download process by downloading a full bookmark structure with documents at one go.

How     

You can now download a bookmark structure including the documents.
To download the bookmark structure for a selected Bookmark, use the ‘Bookmark Download’ command available in:

• The bookmark toolbar.
• The bookmark shortcut menu.

Bookmark structure is downloaded as a zip file.           

Why

Speed up productivity by viewing documents information and editing documents directly from the Preview Page

How     

The Preview page is enhanced with the following capabilities:

• You can now open the Information Panel and view the documents details directly from the Preview page.
• Edit and Update commands are added to the Preview Toolbar, allowing you to edit and update the document directly from the preview page.         

How     

New tabs are added to the Information panel of a project in the Project Gantt widget:

Why

Improve audit trail through a new admin setting enabling approvals for Issue stakeholders

How     

A new setting ‘Issue Approval Enforcement’ is available in the ‘Collaborative Space Configuration Center’ under the ‘Issue Management’ section.

This setting allows you to enable or disable the approval process for an Issue, and contains the following values:

• Always – Issues are always created with an approval process.
• Never – Issues do not require an approval process
• User Choice – (Default) Allows the user to make the choice per issue.

Following your setting, an Approval value is automatically set per each issue and contains one of the following values:

• ON   - Approvals is required.
• OFF -  Approvals is not required.

The Approvals value (ON/OFF) is displayed in:

• The Issues data grid as a new column
• The Issue ID Card
• The Issue shortcut menu

Why

Improved productivity by retaining or removing the configuration information while duplicating big configured structures.

How     

In the Collaborative Lifecycle app, while you duplicate configured structure using Advanced Duplicate option, the new “Keep Configuration” checkbox is provided that lets you decide whether you want to retain the configuration information in the duplicated structure or not.

By default, this checkbox is not selected. When it is selected, the configuration information such as configuration context, variant effectivities and evolution effectivities are copied in the duplicated structure.
