Why Enhance supplier interaction with the ability to use an Exchange Package |
How The OEM can now export data as "exchange package" and send it to supplier. You are able to manage the purpose of each part of the product structure before sharing with the supplier. This allows to you to protect your IP by defining "Exclude" purpose on some sub-structures. The role offer the capability to export and import CATIA V5 data in order to facilitate the collaboration between OEM and suppliers. This package will contain copies of CAD data as well as other information such as mapping information between these CAD data and corresponding data stored in 3DExperience. Once the supplier receives a package, they can extract the data locally and open it in standalone CATIA V5 and bring whatever modifications are required. Modified data is then sent back to OEM. As an OEM, you import data with a dedicated user interface to reintegrate modifications into the platform. |
