Improved 3D viewing experience by easily customizing visual quality using 3D Visual Quality Control Manager

How   

• You can now control the visual quality while viewing 3D content in the 3DPlay app.
• To do that, you can now select the Quality Manager option in the View tab of the action bar. This displays the slider that lets you manually control the quality of the 3D visualization of your content

Note: This enhancement is only available when viewing 3D content in 3DPlay app embedded in 3DDrive and in 3DSwym.

Improved traceability referring to recent updates in the timeline view of the community or conversation

How   

• In the Community or Conversation, you can now go to the Timeline View to view all the latest activities which include editing of any content such as Post, Idea, Question, Media , Wiki minor edition (Not just revision)
• You can now mention yourself in the comment of 3DSwym content such as Posts, Idea, Question, Other. This is useful if you want to notify yourself (by Email/3DNotification) about some important content that you do not want to miss or that you want to read later

Improved precision while creating whiteboard using ready-to-use shapes

How   

• You can now use the predefined shapes available in the Media panel of your 3Dwhiteboard. You have the option to either place a shape onto your whiteboard or choose a shape and sketch it manually.
• The shape now has additional selection points to let you scale, rotate, and edit the width and height of your shapes.

Improved speed while using trackpad for creating whiteboard

How   

• You can now use the trackpad while using the 3DWhiteboard app. To enable this, you can select the Mouse & Trackpad > Trackpad option the Preferences menu.
• You can utilize the trackpad for the following actions:
  • Zoom In, Zoom Out: Using a two-finger pinch gesture
  • Pan:  Using a two-finger parallel gesture.

Why

Improved accuracy and speed while connecting objects using the new diagram feature

How   

• You can now use the new Diagram option in the toolbar to connect two objects on your whiteboard using arrow marker. You can also modify the thickness, opacity, type, pattern of the connecting arrow as required.
• Once objects are connected, the connection line remains connected even though you move the objects.

Faster collaboration thanks to the ability to share your potion with your colleagues

How   

• You can now share your potion with your colleagues and provide the following level of access to them:
  • Can View: This mode allows members to view the potion. This is useful in case you want to share the potion with your colleagues for their reference
  • Can Activate-Deactivate: This mode allows members to activate or deactivate the potion that is shared with them. This is useful when you want to delegate your colleagues access to activate or deactivate the potion in your absence.
• The new Members tab shows the list of members and their level of access to the potion

Why

Improved scope while using automating tasks related to project planning app

How   

• While defining triggers, when you select the Project Planning app, the following enhancement is made:
  • When you select the "Project description changed" or "Project maturity changed" trigger:
    • A new Project field is added and displayed along with Who field.
    • It is mandatory to define either the Who field or the Project field.

Note: A mandatory icon (Asterisk) is shown for both these fields. However, when you define a value for one field, the asterisk is removed from the other field.

Why

Save time using the new token allocation option to easily manage tokens of each member

How   

• The Admin panel in the Potion Lab displays "# of Active Potion Allowed (By Role)" for each member. This field displays the number of active potions allowed to a specific user based on the role/s assigned to the member.
• Now, the new "# of Tokens Allowed" field is displayed that lets administrator allocate a specific number of tokens (From the total available tokens) to any member.

Note: The maximum number of tokens allowed to any member is 1000.

Save time while updating documents using the Edit/Download commands directly from search results

How   

• You can now use the new "Enable Collaboration for Microsoft" check box from the user setting page to enable Edit and Download options in search results.

How   

• You can now use the new 3DSearch dropdown list in the 3DEXPERIENCE Native Apps. This new intuitive search displays your search history, search suggestions, and offers additional options, like clearing your search history.
• This new search dropdown is in BETA and is deactivated by default. You can activate and deactivate it at any time.
• To activate the new search dropdown list, click the search field and select the Activate BETA option.

Note: In 3DDashboard, web apps, and CAD connectors (POWER'BY) this new search dropdown is activated by default.

• You can now use a new library that provides you with various basic shapes and emoji to quickly enhance the visual quality of your stories.

Faster decision-making using the Comparison Slider to compare two images in your story

How   

• In the 3DStory app, you can now use the new Comparison Slider widget that lets you compare two images within your stories
• This widget allows you to place two images besides each other and find out the visual differences between them, using a slider.
• This is useful for:
  • Making a compelling Before/After comparison
  • Presenting different variant combinations

• In the 3DDashboard, the following enhancements are made:
  • Notification Badge: In smaller screens, the new notification badge icon is dynamically updated to reflect any unread notification.

  • User Status Indicator: User status icons are now available over the profile icon of the top bar to indicate the status of your availability.
