What is the 3D Product Architect role?
Working efficiently as a team is key to delivering new products on the market in a timely manner. However, recurring challenges such as non-CAD users’ inability to mock up new products or product changes without a detailed design, or the difficulty to optimize product definition for configurable products which can lead to reworks, delays and an increase in costs.

What are the apps?
The key apps in the 3D Product Architect role are described below. Find information about the other apps in the Explore Section.

Product Structure Editor | The Product Structure Editor app is used to initiate, derive, and manipulate product structures without the need for CAD. 3D Compose enables visualization and navigation of the product structure in 3D to better understand the impact of changes. |
3D Compose | The 3D Compose app helps you diagnose existing models to determine whether they can be combined into new design projects. This reuse design perspective, lets you easily translate and rotate existing models to assess if they can match the new project design you envision. |
3D Annotation Insight | The 3D Annotation Insight app enables you to review dimensions, tolerances, and 3D annotations by applying different filters. |
CAD Data Processor Monitoring | The CAD Data Processor Monitoring app lets you monitor the status and results of background requests processed by the CAD Data processor service. |
Extended Collaborations Control Center | The Extended Collaborations Control Center app lets you create an extended collaboration between a leading team and one or several partner teams involved in a collaborative project. A dashboard and all the required resources for this project are created, with the required responsibilities for the different members. |
IP Import | The IP Import app enables you to import Industry Foundation Class (IFC) data into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. |
