An issue was identified in DraftSight 2023sp3, as regression from DraftSight 2023sp2, that results in the inability to insert custom blocks from Sheet > Set Manager. Also, editing the custom blocks, DraftSight may display the string “«Error»”.
The problem will be fixed in DraftSight 2024sp0 that is due for release later in November 2023.
The DraftSight development team have provided hotfixes that once applied, will resolve the issue in DraftSight 2023 SP3 and DraftSight 2023 SP4.
Installation:
In order to install the hotfix, please follow these steps:
- Save any files you have open and close the DraftSight application.
- Download the correspondent hotifx version that matches your DraftSight installation (DraftSight 2023 SP3 or DraftSight 2023 SP4) to a local folder on your PC:
- Unzip the file.
- Double click to run the installation executable.
- Follow the instructions to install the hotfix in your pc.
- After doing this, please proceed to launch DraftSight.
Removal:
Before applying any future service packs of DraftSight, please be sure to remove this Hotfix.
This can be done by following these steps:
1. Open the Windows > Control Panel (Type "Control Panel" into Windows Search tool on the Task Bar)
2. Select Programs and Features
3. From the list of Programs, right click on 'DraftSight Hotfix HF-1141983'
4. Select "Uninstall/Change" and follow the steps to remove the Hotfix: DraftSight Hotfix HF-1141983
