An issue was identified in DraftSight 2022sp0 that results in the high memory usage.

The problem is fixed in DraftSight 2022sp1 that is due for release later in February 2022.

The DraftSight development team have provided a hotfix that once applied, will resolve the issue in DraftSight 2022sp0.

Installation:

In order to install the hotfix, please follow these steps:

1. Save any files you have open and close the DraftSight applicaton. 
2. Download this hotifx to a local folder on your PC  : HotFix_1227133_2022SP0.zip
3. Unzip the file. 
4. Double click to run the installation executable. 
5. You will be prompted to reboot your computer.
6. After doing this, please proceed to launch DraftSight

Removal:

Before applying any future service packs of DraftSight, please be sure to remove this Hotfix.

This can be done by following these steps:

1. Open the Windows > Control Panel  (Type "Control Panel" into Windows Search tool on the Task Bar)  

2. Select Programs and Features 

3. From the list of Programs, right click on 'DraftSight Hotfix 1227133'

4.  Select "Uninstall/Change" and follow the steps to remove the Hotfix: DraftSight Hotfix 1227133
