Space Allocation App
introduction
Basically, there is 2 ways of creating Geographic Breakdown Structure (GBS) with associated 3D volumes
- by designing individual close volume using Part Design Application and associate each volume to 3DSpace objects
- in this case we will apply the Skeleton methodology with one Part that contain the zone contour that can be parametrized + one body per zone
- each 3D Space object will point the geometry on each body
- by designing an overall space tha twe will split by using cutting element
Note: 3D Space Datamodel has change in 2024x so some of the following video may not be 100% up to date

note: it is better to create a Space Concept Root as parent for the 3D Design Space object, this will allow to use the GBS to associate 3DSpace to Logical objects in "Logical Product Architecture" App
Create/modify Geographic breakdown structure (GBS) from neutral format import
Import - Export GBS Data with geometry through XML + step
XLS Import - Export GBS Data structure and attributes (no geometry) through XLS
Note : the XLS import command is available only through Env Variable . the communication of this Flag is under Dassault Systemes R&D control
Exemple of XLS import with simplified xls format. here is the list of the mandatory column that must be in the XLS file
- Identifier : to define the path of each object(0 is mandatory for root)
- Display Name : name of reference, actually the value in (R) Title column overwrites this value, but anyway it is required.
- Type : NLS type name, such as Space Root, Design Space Reference…
- Extensions : can be empty
- (R) Title : title of reference
- Instance Title : title of instance
- You can add more columns to set attribute(NLS name of attribute)
