Explore the Mechanical Designer Role

In this learning module, you will learn to design and modify mechanical parts and assemblies using design methodologies such as solid modeling and surface modeling. You will assess their manufacturability. You will also learn about the know-how of parametric design and concurrent engineering.

3DEXPERIENCE Mechanical Designer [hands-on] - Associate

This certification validates knowledge and skills on the Mechanical Designer role within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This exam proposes hands-on challenges that will require you to design and modify parts and assemblies. You will also be asked multiple-choice questions (MCQ) on how to create 3D parts, create and modify assemblies, analyze parts and drafting. This exam includes exercises that require a 3DEXPERIENCE platform access including the apps related to the Mechanical Designer role. Prepare this exam by watching this video. 

Practice CATIA Part Design

In this learning module, you will learn how to create 3D models using the CATIA Part Design app. You will also learn how to use different feature-based tools to build a 3D model. Further, you will also learn how to add parameters, reuse data, create models using tables, and modify a model.

Practice CATIA Drafting

This module will teach you how to create drawings using the Drafting app. You will learn how to create projection views and section views of a 3D model or an assembly and add the required dimensions.

Key Concepts Covered:
📌 Create simple projection views and section views of 3D parts and assemblies
📌 Position the views on a drawing sheet
📌 Add dimensions and annotations to the views

3DEXPERIENCE Mechanical Designer - Professional

This certification assesses your knowledge and skills with CATIA modeling techniques after initial training and a minimum of three months of regular practice using CATIA Mechanical Design core products (Part Design, Assembly Design, and Drafting).The exam proposes hands-on challenges based on industrial use cases that will require you to design, modify and analyze parts and assemblies. Understanding of design intent and drafting principles is assessed in multiple-choice questions.
