Explore the Creative Designer Role

In this module, you will learn how to imagine, explore and create conceptual ideas through a comprehensive set of applications addressing ideation, concept modeling and visualization.

Key concepts covered:
📌 Import 2D sketches
📌 Develop ideas with a unique 3D Sketching Technology
📌 Sculpt in 3D with virtual clay modeling using subdivision surface technology
📌 Explore your design in context of a virtual human
📌 Visualize your product and work on colors & materials with real-time visualization and photo-realistic rendering

3DEXPERIENCE Creative Designer - Associate

This certification will assess your knowledge and skills on the Creative Designer role within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. You will be asked multiple choice questions on creating 3D sketches, creating concept shapes, creating design alternatives, exploring the design in the context of a human and showcasing the design.

Practice CATIA Live Rendering 

This module will introduce you to the CATIA Live Rendering app and its working environment. You will learn how to create highly realistic renderings and visualizations by application of customized materials, ambiences, cameras and lights. You will also learn about various other tools and options that you can use for creating rendered images and videos.

Key concepts covered:
📌 Create and apply materials and stickers to 3D models
📌 Enhance a 3D Scene by adding dome ambiences and HDRi lights
📌 Create Cameras and animations for realistic visualizations and renderings
📌 Render batches of images and animations
📌 Export rendered images and generate videos
📌 Add 3D environment and visualize the model

Practice CATIA Imagine and Shape

In this module, you will become familiar with the subdivision surfaces and learn how to use the CATIA Imagine & Shape app to create, modify and improve product shapes and styles.

Key concepts covered:
📌 Articulate the usage of subdivision surfaces in the concept modeling
📌 Create curves and subdivision surfaces using tools specific to the Imagine and Shape app
📌 Manipulate subdivision surfaces and modify topology
📌 Perform operations on subdivision surfaces using Generative Shape Design tools

Practice CATIA Natural Sketch

This module contains both videos and exercises. After a short introduction to the app and the user interface, videos will be used to demonstrate the sketching techniques and the use of the sketch tools. You will use the exercises that follow the videos to practice what you have learned and familiarize yourself with the available tools.

📌 Sketch curves or primitives in 2D and 3D
📌 Trace and refine vector or primitive curves
📌 Sketch on a surface
📌 Import and edit images
📌 Transform curves and images

Practice CATIA Natural Shape 

This module will introduce you to the CATIA Natural Shape app and its unique working environment. You will learn how to use the app to conceptualize, create and modify mechanical parts and shapes. The course features short-duration demos followed by exercises which will allow you to practice. You will also learn the related theory, tips and recommendations while performing the exercises.

📌 Create a conceptual design directly in 3D
📌 Use the hybrid design environment to conceptualize your designs
📌 Work on the structure to create the 3D parts
📌 Navigate through the structure and position the parts
📌 Reuse the existing designs in the 3D models

Practice CATIA Natural Assembly

In this module, you will learn how to create and manage product structures. You will explore a product and modify its structure by adding new products and exploding existing products. You will then scan the structure to activate a working product level, search for and add existing parts and use constraints to position the parts. You will also create a new sub-product from a components list and use it to complete the product.

📌 Explore a product and modify its structure using Natural Assembly
📌 Select the product levels using the Ladder functionality
📌 Search for a product and insert it in an existing assembly
📌 Position the parts using constraints
📌 Create a new sub-product from a component’s list and use it to complete the product
