There are recommendations that we can give but mainly they provide minor improvement on the process. Main effort should be to focus on 3D model size and information consistency.
- Try to avoid using “3d Clipping” wherever possible as it has noticeable effect depending on the 3d data
- Use PLM Filters where possible for 3D selection
- View Update Rule (VUR) has almost trivial impact on performance
- Generally try to set up graphical representation via GVS and just supplement annotations via VUR
Stream Cache
Recommended Value : 20 000MB
CPU Usage
- CPUUSageLevel : Maximal
- CPU Usage for Global Multithreaded task : 90%
Loading performance
Using fixed 0.2mm 2D accuracy from MW,
Disable Anti-aliasing
Switch to Edit Mode
If you need to create multiple Drawing use "Switch to Edit Mode" then it will take less time for each view creation
Be aware it will take a long time to do so, so use it only if you know you will create a lot of drawings and views.
Load 3D data instead of Opening for Update
In case you need to perform an Update on existing Drawing you can use Load 3D Data command by right clicking on the Drawing . it will consume less memory and it is quicker then opening 3D data.
Enable/Disable to save the drawing in the 3D Model tree
Enable occlusion culling
Enable/Disable GVS
Change Linetype for Breakout view
Note: for this option to be available first make sure that GVS is disable
Disable Axis in drawing (avoid extended Frame View to the origin of the model)
Disable automatic Update to decide when to update the drawing manually
