Context
In this page we will talk about the lifecycle management of Piping 3D assembly without taking into account any Schematic data
Before starting with lifecycle management for piping , you must have a good understanding of piping data organization and piping object links . see dedicated page here
Usecase 1 : single pipe revision
There is no specificities concerning the revision of pipe compare to any other data
warning:
When doing new revision for pipe, it is not recommended to reinstantiate the revised pipe into the assembly because.
- it will not ensure to reroute correctly the links
- the instantiated pipe can't be edited
If for any reason you want anyway to instantiate multiple revision of the same pipe into the assembly, then you must revise the "Equiped tube" assembly or place your tube into a shell product, revise both and insert the revised product
Usecase2 : Pipe assembly revision
In General when starting to create a new revision and replace it in your assembly, you must ensure that you have loaded in session all the objects that have some link wih the objects that will be revised ; this will allows to automaticaly reroot the links
Usecase3 : Spool revision management
