Generating a Report (2024x) with knowledge Report command

To be able to create a report, you must have created a report in Quality Rules Reuse and saved it in the database.

There are three ways how to generate a Knowledge Report:

1 From Schematic App session

Open the Logical view - select Share – Export – Knowledge Report Command

 

Click Select to choose one of the existing templates for the report. 

 

Below the Report name box, there are two options:

  • Choosing “All objects in session” it selects all objects defined in the Report Definition Template .xml. For example, if you choose the “Equipment List” template, the system will generate all the equipment from the schematic view.

    🚩 System will export all object from all the Sheet loaded in session. If some components are part of the P&ID system but not yet represented into the P&ID Sheet, they will be also in the report.

  • Choosing “Selected objects” it selects all objects defined in the xml. template which are located in a marked area.

2. From the Search Result panel

Type the name of the product in the Search box – select the product and on the right top corner find Share – Export – Knowledge Report 

3. From the Explore window

Type the name of the product in the Search box – find the product – right click the product – select Explore

In the Explore tab select Share – Export – Knowledge Report

 

4. Generating a Knowledge Report using a Batch

Find Tools in Action bar – click Utility – double click Knowledge Report

  • Click Object Search – enter filter paramteres and click OK
  • Select a report template from the list
  • Optional: 
    - enter a report title
    - if you want to generate only one report for all inputs check „One Report“
    - enter a report file name
    - modify the directory where the report is going to be stored

Click Save to save the report and Run to launch the report generation.
