[CATIA] Naval Architect

Provides integrated boat hull form design & compartments position with first hydrostatic assessment.

The Naval Architect role enables user to create new designs or re-work on hulls with the power of the 3DEXPERIENCE modeling apps. Hereby, the user has multiple opportunities by starting with Imagine and Shape to quickly create several concept designs. Using those concept as an input for a detailed design and mature design with a good surface quality.
Based on the new commands - to calculate Hydrostatics - the best hull form can be found and validated for further steps. Having a validated the hull form, the compartment space can be defined. Iteration loops are much faster due to an integrated workflow inside the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Additionally, high-end renderings is available all along the process, for a better context communication.

Benefits

  • Holistic approach that enables quicker decision making and better solution convergence

  • Better control unicity and validation of inputs for the project

  • Supports multiple workflows

    • Design wireframes/surfaces to define a new hull shape

    • Import/Repair/Modify existing hull shapes

  • Concept modeling based on sub-division modeling for fasten iteration processes

  • Have better quality inputs for the downstream engineering process and a faster transition

    • Check reusability of the surface

    • Check the fairing of the hull shape

  • Ship Life Cycle & Digital Continuity
