3D Tubing Part - Flared & Flareless connection

Purpose

Define Component to realize flared tube connection

As the connection part are dedicated to a unique connection type, the poposal is to define their ports in a way that they are all cohincident . in addition, Port1 will be at the 0,0,0 of the Part and the Part 3D geometry will be design according it. we will use Part port

In the CASE1 & 2 We will not manage the tube End extra length , it will be done in the MBOM

in the CASE3 we poepose to include the Extra length at the level of the fitting main part

Part Definition

Assembly Case1 : Fitting + Sleeve + Nut

In this case the tube will end at the position of the connection between all parts

About Tube straight length:

The above definition can be adjusted for the Nut part if we want to ensure a safety straight length marging at the exit of the nut for the tube to ensure that we can unscrew the nut.

Warning (2025-06-25 : As of today,) : there is a limitation with this :

the usage of 2 points Part Port are not supported in the Piping Isometric drawing view .

So if you need to generate such type of drawing, the recomendation is to use "Single point" Port and to setup the directional length table to be able to control the straight length for the tube after the nut. The rule can looks like

 Case2 Assembly : Fitting + Cone + Sleeve + Nut

In this case the tube will end at the position of the connection between all parts

Case3 Assembly : manage Tube Fabrication end extra length

In this case we will offset the connection point between all parts to ensure that the tube end will reach the exact position
