Introduction

Define piping component that are placed along the pipe (or in which the pipe is going through) without spliting the pipe into 2 pieces.
For this type of part we want to ensure that the straight portion (minimum straight lengths) of the pipe before, inside & after this part is correctly managed

Geometry:

Define the geometry by following the general Piping part creation practice

Ports:

Create a single Piping port either 

• Single point hole port

• Double point hole port

Single vs double point port : 

Double point port allows the have a given straight portion of pipe imposed by the support BUT the port origin will be located at one the this extremity . As consequence, in the Piping isometric drawing the dimension will indicate the support extremity position (not the center point)

Single point port DOES NOT allows the have a given straight portion of pipe imposed by the support BUT the port origin will be located at the part center . As consequence, in the Piping isometric drawing the dimension will indicate the support center position

Design rules  

Additionnal straight length can be added through Directionnal length table.

For a given pipe size, this length will depends , on the couple Endstyle of the Piping part and Pipe caracteristics.
