Introduction
In some cases it is necessary to manage the hose flexible tube as an assembly composed by the tube it self wit ha given length and extremity connected fittings.
This assembly will be considered as a purchasable product
To be able to manage such assembly with 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA Pipign & Tubing 3D Design you need to follow a specific method to build the hose assembly
Hose Assembly creation and placement
General Methodology
Create a Group of Part that can be placed all togethers using Piping Part placement
usecase :
- Flexible tube has a fix length
- Flexible tube has one fitting at each extremity
When using the method showned in the above video, system in always duplicating the assembly and the tube (to create new reference) , keeping the same partnumber. But no link is created from the reference assembly store into your library and the created one in your 3D model.
To be able to keep the tracability and to keep a link between placed hose assembly and referent hose in library, since 2024x release you can set your hose assembly as "Deformable" --> see next chapter
Deformable Product Methodology
On top of the method explained above, you must apply a Deformable Mechanical Behavior to your hose assembly so that you can keep traceability between your installed hose assembly and the reference in catalog/library (this functionality is GA in 24X).
