Case of Standard Part (resolved parts)
If the HVAC Part is a standard part: instanciation rule = Reuse Reference
Then user can't modify Port Attribute value on HVAC Parts.
If user wants to change the size he must do a Resize function operation on the Part (replace the standard part by another standard Part
Case of NON-Standard Part (full parametric parts)
If the HVAC Part is full parametric Part : instanciation rule = New Reference
And if you have linked the Part dimension to the Port Attributes – see Parametric HVAC Part creation methodology
then it is the value of the “Source” that will decide how you can change the attributes values
If selected value is “Table”, then when selecting a Port, you only have access to the Predefined value for the Techno table and you have consistency between Equivalent Diameter and Height/Width (this comes from the Duct dimension table)
- Duct dimension is the correlation between Equivalent Diameter (String) and section type and dimensions (for part or duct)
If selected value “is User defined” then you can enter the value you want and there is no more consistency between standard, Equivalent Diameter and section dimensions (height width, thickness …)
