When you receive an answer that solves your query, you can validate it. This has two advantages.

1. It shows that your question has been solved and no longer requires an answer
2. It allows others who have the same query to quickly see which answer provided the necessary solution.

Once validated, the chosen answer will appear at the top of the list.
