Description
We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Compose and Capture 2022 which includes the following enhancements and fixed defects:
Enhancements
This release of BIOVIA Compose and Capture includes the following enhancements.
User Story | Description
CAPT-3798 | Boolean parameters can now be manually collected by a single click using radio buttons.
CAPT-3976 | For data acquisition steps, clearing rows now also removes sample mappings. Also, it is now possible to clear all entered data on a step at once.
CAPT-4470 | Information specific to container or batch has been removed from the Material row and broken out more logically.
CAPT-5255 | If a row with the filter is found, advanced parsing return the rows with the value.
CAPT-5273 | The review user is able to see the number of exceptions that relate to any filter, even after viewing the data using that filter.
CAPT-5547 | Summary calculations for Text, LongText, Vocabulary, and Boolean parameters now support "count", "first", and "last" statistical functions. (Numeric and quantity parameters are still supported.)
CAPT-5825 | Task name, if it exists and is different from the activity name, will be appended to the Task ID in parenthesis (e.g. Task ID (Task Name)).
CAPT-5983 | The procedure author can define which activity will link to and which parameters should be populated from a task made from that activity. During execution, the user selects the specific task that from which parameter values will be populated.
CAPT-5986 | Added a new Tasks table to BIOVIA Recipe Approval Report 2020 that includes Task ID (Task Name), Activity Name, Activity State, Activity Approved, and Activity Version.
CAPT-6088 | Review for Capture Hub now uses same signature dialog as Capture and Foundation.
CAPT-6193 | Capture, Review and Report now properly reflect partially signed states when a multisigner signature policy is in progress.
CAPT-6211 | Step protocol button now displays the protocol name as the button label.
CAPT-6318 | Similarly to 'first' and 'last', summary expressions now support 'nthSelect' function that returns nth result of select statement.
CAPT-6348 | Capture expanded equipment grid now displays to the user the earliest date for any metrology event that might cause the equipment to become unfit for use.
PROP-10074 | An author will be able to perform simple text formatting in phrasing/instructions without knowing HTML tagging.
PROP-10258 | Multi-dispense tags on parameters are not honored in Capture Hub. As such, they are no longer available in Compose for new recipes.
PROP-10323 | It is now possible to map a recipe parameter such that its value can be populated during execution from another task.
PROP-10336 | When linking activities, a mechanism is provided to map existing parameters in the recipe to those of a separate activity.
PROP-10337 | It is now possible to import parameters into a recipe directly from another recipe, so that they are properly mapped and share the same parameter template.
PROP-10392 | An author can determine whether a protocol run during a Capture Hub session will open in the same tab or a new tab to take advantage of different functional needs.
Fixed Defects
This release of BIOVIA Compose and Capture includes the following fixed defects.
User Story | Description
PROP-10393 | The recipe report no longer fails when encountering nested HTML tags.
CAPT-6194 | Steps can be completed as expected in recipes with calculations.
CAPT-6278 | Dependencies on the same step are calculated correctly.
CAPT-6464 | Integer planned values and limits provided in Task Plan are now displayed in Capture Hub.
CAPT-6493 | Fixed an issue in which Capture Hub incorrectly passed the Container ID into the first process result parameter defined on the Task. As a result, the Task Plan Results tab erroneously displayed the Container ID for the first process result parameter rather the value entered in Capture Hub.
PROP-10308 | Fixed an issue in which steps added or cloned during authoring were sometimes not properly numbered.
PROP-10369 | Recipe updates no longer corrupt parameters in already published activity.
PROP-10394 | Recipe save is now successful after deleting an equipment mapping that is mapped to a tagged process element parameter.
PROP-10401 | A Recipe containing Mapped Protocols will now successfully import when the Protocol exists on the target server.
PROP-10411 | Fixed an issue in which a parameter's calculated planned value was sometimes not being updated after changes in an expression.
PROP-10412 | Fixed an issue in which authors were unable to clone recipe material(s), set planned material amount(s) on the clone(s) and then save the recipe if the parent material(s) are added to Scaled/Limited reagent expressions.
PROP-10430 | Fixed an issue where Compose was not properly accommodating changes of unit types on parameter templates in Foundation when upgrading the parameter template in a recipe.
CAPT-4094 | Container ID is reverted to old value when scanning container fails.
CAPT-4539 | Capture Hub users can now register containers with a quantity unit of “Each”.
CAPT-4725 | When an invalid value has been pasted into a boolean or vocabulary parameter, but not yet submitted, clicking outside the parameter grid now submits the value and an error will be thrown.
CAPT-4794 | The migration of Review to use the Foundation signature dialog has fixed an issue in which Review would allow a Free-Form reason code to be entered, but would then fail the signature.
CAPT-5812 | When a quantity parameter is recollected without a space trailing the value, changing the unit by clicking on the unit dropdown will correctly save the newly selected unit.
CAPT-6027 | Review allows workflow transitions without expecting credentials if credentials are not required.
CAPT-6130 | Step protocol path will update to latest hub protocol path upon browser session refresh.
CAPT-6137 | In data acquisition, work item is disabled with message while waiting for open request to avoid user clicking twice and sending an additional request.
CAPT-6200 | Reason code wraps and shows in next line when it is more than 100 characters.
CAPT-6216 | Correct activity lifecycle state is displayed.
CAPT-6227 | Improved the UI for the transition of a recipe from In Progress to Complete so that it is more obvious to the user what is occuring.
CAPT-6234 | Protocol paths are stripped of preceding slashes so they work with the query parameter request.
CAPT-6244 | Signature events in Report and Review show information about the user who clicked Submit on the signature dialog. Pending signature events show empty Contributor/Signer until the signature is collected.
CAPT-6360 | Fixed an issue in which, when recollecting data on parallel steps, the "Next" action was disabled if the last step was in a parallel.
CAPT-6409 | Fixed an issue in which, for an unexecuted step, the report could sometimes show an irrelevant timestamp.
CAPT-6501 | Corrected a problem that occurred when migrating Manual Data Entry Data Acquisition activities, in which the user should have been able to enter values with all units defined in the parameter template and defaulting to the unit defined in the activity parameter. Instead, the default unit was incorrect and there were no additional dropdown options.
PROP-10341 | Fixed a problem in which the installer for Compose on Linux did not display the correct version.
PROP-10404 | The report, when generated from Compose, now properly shows in the footer the user who printed the report.
CAPT-5811 | Step with a removed ad hoc observation completes successfully.
CAPT-6329 | Fixed an issue in classic Capture where an error would be generated when a step had equipment undefined.
PROP-10295 | Improved the UI for managers configuring reports in Compose and Capture.
