Changing the Notebook blank experiment content

By default BIOVIA Notebook comes with a handful of mandatory section: ID, Author, Created date, Title and Project. It is easy to add fields, such as Business Unit or Experiment Type, so that all experiments will contain a richer set of meta data. This can be done for all users or for specific groups.

How to:

  • Ensure you have administrative privilege on the intended group, e.g. ElnUsers
  • Create a public template and add the appropriate sections
  • Select the group for which the template should be the master on the template Info tab:

Tip:

From Notebook 2020 Foundation Hub Vocabularies can be connected to Notebook Lookup sections. This makes it easy to modify or add values using the Hub administration page.
