* Support temperature-dependent specific heat and thermal conductivity data both in the 3DEXPERIENCE Plastics materials database as well as the solver. This change affects 539 material grades for which temperature-dependent data exists. These material grades will benefit from improved accuracy of filling, packing, and mold cooling simulations.

* Allow users to precisely control the number of layers of elements created through the thickness in local/critical regions of the model. Users can now refine boundary layer mesh in localized regions to capture critical phenomena without having to refine the entire model. Use the local mesh size feature to specify the number of boundary layers required on each skin. By default 2 layers are targeted, which you can now increase locally.

Users can now refine boundary layer mesh in localized regions to capture critical phenomena without having to refine the entire model. The top Right image shows an enhancement in R22xFD04 through which you can locally refine the boundary layer mesh to capture key manufacturing phenomena in critical regions such as gates more accurately. In previous releases, as shown in the top Left Image, you had to refine the entire model which would have greatly increased the element count resulting in longer analysis times.
