[GEOVIA] Geology Modeler

Functional Value

1. Use structural bedding data to help model conformable stratigraphic units

2. Generate solids from non-geochronological numerical attributes. Many geological features have no geological timing relationship; hence such features cannot be expressed in a geological event. Rock hardness is often one such property where the user may simply wish to create broad, generic geometries around hard or soft rock.

3. Allow user to preview composite results prior to saving allowing user to update composite rules on the fly.

4. Allow the user to select the desired Coordinate Reference System (CRS) for display either during the open phase, or during the session, so that the

User Experience Value

1. Visually distinguish measured and interpolated borehole data. Visualizing interpolated intervals as distinct from measured intervals greatly aids the validation, hence accuracy, of generated geologic units by ensuring interpolated intervals conform to the geologic principles set by the user.
