OmniShape Flange Supports Knowledgeware You can access the length and angle parameters of a flange surface through Knowledgeware. You can modify the respective values in the tree or in the command panel by connecting them to other parameters or formulas. Benefits: You can drive your design automatically by defined dependencies.

Improved OmniShape-Blend & OmniFillet Control Points Distribution (like ISD) OmniShape blend surfaces or OmniFillet lets you use a Natural or Equidistant control point distribution in the U direction. The Equidistant option lets you adjust the control point distribution consistently with the ICEM Shape Design surface blend standard. Benefits: The enhancement establishes consistency among related surface creation commands and enriches the modeling possibilities

Sculpting Tools Respect Symmetry Conditions When using the sculpting tools on a feature subject to a symmetry condition, you cannot go below the continuity level defined in the symmetry condition. Benefits: The enhancement ensures the priority of a feature's parametric definition over subsequent modeling and a consistent application of this principle to all relevant tools.

New Keyboard Shortcuts ICEM Design Experience provides several new and reassigned keyboard shortcuts including the optional use of the spacebar for opening the Modify Control Points panel or hiding or showing selected elements Benefits: The advanced keyboard shortcuts facilitate the modeling process and increase your productivity

Set behavior on the Spacebar No Behavior (default): for users who do not like using Spacebar (“too easy to activate by mistake”) Sculpting Tools : for immediate and easy access to Control Points (suitable for ICEM Surf users who adopted Mouse Menus there) Hide / Show : for easy display cleaning and elements retrieval from spec tree (suitable for CATIA V5-6 users who are using it in FreeStyle & ICEM Shape Design)

Sculpting Tools Sensitive to Cut Type If you open a sculpting tool on a cut surface, the cut type determines if you directly access the cut feature or its root geometry. Benefits: The default behavior of the sculpting tools facilitates a sculpting process more in line with your modeling intent.

Inspecting the Deviation at Any Location During an active deviation analysis, regardless of the current settings of the deviation comb, you can measure the deviation at any point. Benefits: You can quickly and in detail inspect the deviation in any area of particular interest.
