[CATIA] Civil Engineer

Functional Value

- Enhanced bridge design capabilities will improve ergonomics and productivity by 10%. By separating global design parameters from Object Type selection, as well as integrating design by table capabilities, the Bridge Assistant will model simple bridges in fewer clicks and with less searching and scrolling in the dialog box.

- Connecting the 3D Virtual Design environment with the construction site, new capabilities to export curvilinear data from the 3D model in a table format (pattern table) will help bridge the gap between the virtual and real worlds of design and construction.

I
R2021xFD07 brings new enhancements to alignment transition curves and the bridge assistant. These enhancements further extend the design capabilities of CATIA's civil engineering industry processes.

I
New alignment transition curves improve geometric control of the road or rail alignment when transitioning from a straight or curving alignment section to a segment of different curvature.

I
When modeling a bridge structure with the Bridge Assistant, pier support spacing can now be controlled with a string field, increasing speed and control of the pier spacing design parameter.

I
In the Bridge Assistant dialog box, now the status of assigned Object Types are visible and dynamic based on the user's desired Change LOD state.

I
Once a bridge design has been completed, the finished specification can now be extracted to an Excel file where it can be used as a template for future bridge designs in the Bridge Assistant dialog box.
