1.Import/Export enhancements for LandXML now support alignment super elevation and station equations
2. Improve the import of DWG, DXF and DGN drawings located far from the model origin by choosing a Coordinate Reference System (CRS) at the time of import
3. Reduced import and meshing time for large point clouds through use of a bounding box or filter slider before creating a terrain
4. Introducing a new spiral transition curve in the vertical alignment command improves support for high-speed railways
5. Improve design clarity by better controlling graphical display of alignment points in the 3D model
6. Improve alignment accuracy by projecting edges of a terrain and geology layers into vertical alignments
7. New road alignment functionality to draw U-Turns
8. Increase design productivity by modeling rebar groups with rebar templates
9. Improve end-to-end structures design by creating a concept steel structure and automatically generating the detailed assembly
- Introducing a new spiral transition curve in the vertical alignment command allows designers to more easily design alignments for high-speed railways. - Improve design clarity by better controlling graphical display of alignment points in the 3D model - Improve design accuracy working within the context of a terrain by projecting edges into vertical alignments - New road alignment capabilities to draw U-Turn curves improving productivity when designing roads with hairpin turns.
Reduced import and extract time for large point clouds through use of a bounding box or when using a new slider to assist in controlling the filter options before terrain meshing
Improve end-to-end structural steel design capabilities, easily creating a concept steel structure and seamlessly generating the detailed assembly to continue model the detailed members.
Increase design productivity by modeling rebar groups using out of the box bar templates
Improve the import of large drawings located far from the model origin for DWG, DXF and DGN file formats by choosing a Coordinate Reference System (CRS) for geolocation at the time of import.
Increase collaboration by importing IFC models 'for design', this new import mode allows IFC models to be filtered and grouped into 3DShapes as feature objects (as opposed to CGR 'for coordination' or PLM Assembly 'for construction'). Importing a model 'for design' retains all relevant attribute information for each object and exposes the geometry for downstream design and engineering processes without creating unique objects in the database for each IFC element imported, reducing import time significantly.
