Forward 3DSketch
Since R2021x FD04 release, you can easily republish content using the Forward functionality. While it was not possible on FD04, with FD06 you can now also Forward 3DSketch content.
Conversations
Some great news about Conversations, they now support screen sharing in audio and video calls. Let's not wait any longer and let me show you how this works!
Screen sharing is currently not supported on iOS, Android and Internet Explorer. It is recommended to use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
Additionally, your conversations' list is now sorted by recent activities.
3DDrive
List view as a new layout in the 3DDrive widget
This new view allows you to display one content by row with properties displayed in columns. There are 5 default columns in this view (title, type, size, modified date and creator). Depending on the size of your widget, the columns can become hidden. This view support Drag & Drop.
Search and Filter Members
On a shared content (from access tab) you now have the capbility to:
- Search by members
- Filter by Access Rights or by Type

Web Notes improvements
- User Interface improvements
New icons have been added on the interface to alert you of a new note, a modified note, a deleted note, a failed to save note, an edit conflict, a delete conflict. Here are some examples.
- User Experience improvements
- There are improvements with the rich text editor toolbar
- Visual indication available at the bottom of the notes when data is being fetched or saved
- Previously you could easily duplicate notes by dragging and dropping it to the dedicated area when at least two were in the widget. You can now do the same with just one note the widget.
- If you are trying to refresh using the Web Notes widget dropdown menu while at least one note is modified, then a refresh confirmation panel is prompted to you.
- When searching for keywords in the notes of a dashboard tab using the Search in Current Tab, the non matching notes are hidden. This is to prevent recording the notes while they are filtered as well as prevent adding new notes.
- Performance improvements
Web Notes uses a new way to save note's data, which is more reliable and will improve concurrent edition by reducing the possibility to erase data of other users. Also as only the modified data is updated instead of the entire widget data, there is less chance to have timeouts on slow network.
3DPlay
Visualization of non-procedural Materials on Physical Products
3DPlay Web now supports the display of all non-procedural Materials for 3DEXPERIENCE models: most materials configurations on Physical Products are supported to provide a realistic and life-like rendering in 3DPlay Web.
This major achievement is the result of more than one year of development, involving many teams from many organizations and brands.
Materials must have been created or edited using 3DEXPERIENCE R2021x FD04 onward, and the model must have been imported "as reference". Some texture files format may not yet be supported, and Substances materials are not yet supported.
Visualization of Graphic Properties
Product Graphical Properties (Hide/Show, Color, Opacity) defined of Physical Products are now taken into account: you can now navigate on an accurate visualization of model reflecting product graphical properties defined in CAD
Share annotations as comment
It is now possible to facilitate the social collaboration between community members by commenting and annotating a PDF media in 3DSwym.
This cross feature 3DPlay-3DSwym makes it possible to share annotations to others users on a PDF media stored in a 3DSwym community or conversation, retrieve all comments associated to the PDF media and open the annotated version of this same PDF media
Text annotations enhancements
The text annotation user experience has been improved and redesigned, especially on mobile device: User Experience is now unified across all devices, with ability to edit Text Annotations.
Fly Walk enhancements
The scene navigation using « Fly Walk » experience has been improved with accelerated moves and adapted speed: new teleport feature to quickly Navigate to the expected position, intelligent speed adaptation, improved joystick controls.
PDF scope improvment
3DPlay now supports Bookmarks and Attachements in PDFs
User Experience enhancements for Action Bar on tablets
Improved the User Experience of the Action Bar on tablets to Take benefit of the larger screen size
Improve support scope
The new Approximation experience allows users to preview approximations created in either PCN or the RA App

Bookmark Editor
Searching Objects Using Find in Context
You can now search for objects connected to a bookmark using the Find in Context command available in the Tools section of the action bar. You can select multiple products to search.
Drag to Add or Move Objects
You can now drag objects from one bookmark widget to another and opt to copy or move them.
User Interface Updates
The following user interface updates are implemented.
- When a bookmark object is attached or removed, a notification appears showing the name and the revision of the object.
- You can click the notification to view the attached object in the Bookmark Editor app.
- You can copy the link to an object, and open Bookmark Editor to automatically open that object in Bookmark Editor app.
Long Bookmark Name
If the name of a bookmark is long, only a part of the bookmark path is shown in the Bookmark Location column and the Bookmark Location panel.
Document Action Bar Section Updates
The Check In and the Check Out commands are renamed as the Edit File and the Update File commands, respectively.
You can now discard all the edits done to a document and restore the original document in the bookmark using the Undo Edit command.
Collaborative Tasks
User Interface Improvements
- Dragging over the Properties tab opens that tab. You can more efficiently drag attachments and deliverables.
- The width of the Properties tab has been increased.
Benefits: These features improve usability.
Task Promoted to Completed When Percent Complete Set to 100%
If you move the slider to 100% for the Percent Complete for a Project Planning or standalone task, the Maturity State is set to "Completed."
Benefits: You do not need to separately set the maturity state to Completed when a task is moved to 100% complete.
Co-owners for Simple Tasks and Project Management Tasks
The People tab for a simple or Project Management task has a field to enter one or more co-owners of the task.
Benefits: A co-owner can edit the task like an owner and use filters on the task board to view owned tasks.
