Multitenancy support from 3DDashboard
This information will help you in case if you are using different environments having multiple tenants. This is a change related to the tenant list (Platform list) that is displayed.

Previously the secondary menu was visible with the “Select Platform” option, Now with this function the secondary menu will no longer have the “Select Platform” option.

The tenant change will be managed from the global top bar.

You will also be able to change tenant of a pinned search widget through a search widget preferences.

This preferences option will lead to the widget option which will allow us to set the widget tenant through a dropdown containing all the tenant available.

On mobile devices this design will still be the same. You need to go to the widget preferences and the same options will show up.

Local Search in 3DDashboard
Similar behavior is explained in 3DDashboard section above.

Access Role label changed to Responsibility
The label “Access Role” is now renamed to “Responsibility” in 6WTagger while viewing the Members section of a community.

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

As the global threat landscape evolves, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) allows to prevent the most common attacks: if your password has been compromised, your account cannot be accessed unless having the 2nd factor. 

In this context, Dassault Systèmes strongly recommends that you activate Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for your 3DEXPERIENCE ID.

What is the Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource such as an application, online account, or a VPN

How does it work?

As a user, you can activate MFA by your own. Here is the practice

Step1 : login with your account to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

Step2 : Go in “my profile” section

Step3: Click on “Account” and “2-Factor Authentication”

Step4: Click on “Activate”

Step 5: Fill in the security questions

Then, QR code appears:

Step6: Download on your mobile device an Authentication App, open it, follow the steps  until you got the QR code scan ready

It can be Authy, Google Authenticator, 2FA – Authenticator, Authenticator, Duo Mobile,…

Here is what it looks like with Authenticator:

Step6: Copy the temporary code to the 2-Factor Authentication page

• You’re done. The 2-Factor Authentication is activated

Note that to avoid to enter the code each time you login, you have the capability to “trust” a machine

Collaborative Industry Innovator

Display only the selected tenant
This one not relevant on Internal platform as there is only one tenant available (Similar behavior is explained in 3DDrive section).

Optional organization selection for members of a collaborative space
This new feature will allow us to specify the organization with which we would like to add members (users/ user groups).

Note : Here the term ‘Organization’ refers to either Company or Business Unit or Department.

Benefit :

• This function will allow selecting an organization from the ‘add member’ panel. All the members will be added on the collaborative space with the selected organization.
• The ‘add Members’ panel will be modified in order to add the possibility to select the organization.
• The new option ‘Assign credentials with a given organization’ is deactivated by default. The current behavior will remain the default behavior.
• If this option is activated, We can type the first letters of the organization on the search bar, starting from the third letter, a list with the organization’s title is displayed automatically and the user can select one of them. All the members in this panel will be assigned to the selected organization.
• If the checkbox is selected and an organization is selected, the checkbox will remain checked for the future use of the add member modal. If the user clears the cache of the browser, the saved behavior for the checkbox will be lost.
• New created organizations may not appear immediately; the operation can take some time, as the search for those organizations relies on data indexing. The only first forty results corresponding to the typed organization’s title are displayed.

Limitations:

• Only one organization can be selected.
• Update the responsibility on a specific organization can only be done from the ‘Advanced view’
• Only one organization can be selected from the list. In addition, this organization will be applied for all the added members.

Collaborative Task

Route Tasks "Abstain" Approval Configuration and Attachments
You can configure the "Abstain" approval option for a route task in 3DSpace. In addition, attachments are available in the properties for a route task.

Benefits: You have more capabilities for working with route tasks in Collaborative Tasks.

Task Ownership Propagates to Deliverables

• You can have deliverables for a Project Management task inherit their ownership from the task.
• The field Deliverables Inheritance allows the deliverables for a Project Management to inherit ownership from the task.

Benefits: Deliverables ownership is automatically assigned.

Route Owner Reassignment

• A route task card can now indicate that the route owner must reassign the route task.
• The  icon on a route task card indicates that the route owner must reassign this route to a member of the selected user group. If there is no designated user group, then it can be reassigned to any user.

Benefits: The icon on a route task card is an easy way to see whether the route task needs to be reassigned.

Bookmark Editor

Here is the list of latest features for Bookmark Editor:

Download Multiple Documents
You can now download multiple documents using the  Download File command or select Download File from the right pane-contextual menu.

Benefits: You can download the multiple files at the same time.

Classification Attributes
You can add classification attributes and view them in the content view column of Bookmark Editor.
You can view the value of the attributes in index mode and authoring mode.

Benefits: Associated classification attributes are shown in the Bookmark Editor app.

Bookmark Structure
You can now retain the bookmark structure without its content in the copied bookmark. All attributes and the sharing permissions of the child objects are copied with the bookmark structure.

Benefits: You can create multiple bookmarks with the same structure.

Document Management

New Document Revision Rule

• You can allow a new revision to be created when no revision exists within the states that you specify.
• Under Access Rules, for Lifecycle Operations, there is an option to Allow new revision creation if no revision already exists within these states. You can then choose the states from the lists.

Benefits: You can prevent the creation of document revision if any other revision exists in a particular state.

Toolbar Enhancements

• The toolbar in Document Management has additional lifecycle and collaboration commands.
• The enhanced toolbar is more consistent with common commands and is separated by a divider. The icon has changed for "Modified Date" in the sort switcher menu. The view switcher menu has view options.

Benefits: The toolbar has additional commands and it conforms to 3DEXPERIENCEPlatform design.

Engineering Documents Hidden

• Engineering documents are hidden from display in the Specifications tab. 
• Engineering documents are no longer visible in the Specifications tab of the Documents command panel. Engineering documents are still available in the Navigation Spec Tree and should be managed from the Spec Tree only.

Benefits: Engineering documents are inconsequential object types in the Document Management app.

Mobile Improvements
Various improvements have been made to the user interface to enhance usage on mobile platforms.
Improvements include:

• No duplicate documents exist in lists.
• The toolbar uses the maximum width of the widget.
• The preview toolbar supports downloading documents on Safari.
• Edit and Download commands work without disabling the popup blocker.

Benefits: These enhancements make it easier to use Document Management on mobile devices.

EKL Script to Select Stores for Documents

• For on-premises, the administrator can configure stores with the help of EKL scripts.
• When you create a document object, the appropriate store is identified by the provided EKL script and it is used to check in the files. If stores are not configured, files will be checked in the store configured in the policy.

Benefits: You can use business logic for deciding the store for checking in files.

Author Can Release Documents

• The Author responsibility can release documents.

Benefits: This capability expands the Author responsibility.

Thumbnail and Preview Deletion

• When you delete a file or add another file on a single file document, the existing thumbnail and preview are also deleted.
• You can see the default thumbnail for the document containing no file or multiple files in a document. In addition, 3DPlay displays the default message for these documents.

Benefits: Thumbnails and previews of documents remain consistent with a document's content.

Multiple Document Selection

• You can select multiple documents in the Document Management widget.
• You can select multiple documents in the grid view, tile view, and thumbnail view. The following commands support multi-selection: Maturity, New Revision, Duplicate, Compare, Share, Move, Change Owner, Download, Relations, and Delete

Benefits: You can perform certain operations on multiple documents at a time..

Multiple Document Download

• You can select and download multiple documents within Document Management and from 3DSearch results.

Benefits: You can select and download multiple documents in one action.

Side Panel Improvements for Mobile

• The size of the side panel has increased for mobile display.

Benefits: You get a wider side panel display on mobile devices.
