Welcome to MODSIM Mania 2026, a student Modeling and Simulation challenge designed to help students apply engineering principles to a practical problem-solving scenario.
This year's challenge invites participants to develop a solution, validate their design using simulation, analyze the results, and optimize their design using the capabilities of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
MODSIM Mania provides an opportunity to develop practical Modeling and Simulation skills while applying an engineering-driven approach to design and optimization.
About the Challenge
Drone Landing Gear Drop Test Challenge
For MODSIM Mania 2026, participants will work on a Drone Landing Gear Drop Test Challenge.
The objective is to develop a landing gear solution for the provided drone and demonstrate its performance under the defined drop-test conditions.
Participants will follow an engineering workflow:
Design → Simulate → Analyze → Optimize → Submit
The challenge requires participants to make informed design decisions based on simulation results and demonstrate the performance of their final solution.
