I am trying to export to a dxf and I do not want hidden lines or tangent lines visible.  Working from the part file I have set my view type to be hidden lines removed and tangent lines removed.  Everything appear correct in the display as I would want to show up in the dxf, however when the output screen comes up it is always showing hidden lines and exports with them.

This causes an enormous amount rework time when the dxf is brought into illustrator, because all of the lines are individuals and have to be removed and then rejoined to become a closed loop so a fill command can be used in Illustrator to apply a color fill to a section.

Even exporting directly to an AI file work in the same manner leaving open loops that have to be rejoined.

Is there a better way??
