A strange one that's only begun in 2014 and on one machine in the office.  We use virtual parts to so we can drive lengths between planes.  On opening the drawing of the assembly it then saves removes the virtual element and saves a copy of the part outside of the assembly.  It is probably a setting issue within solidworks but I can't see where.
