Hi All,

For our own custom fasteners (and even off the shelf ones) we want to show the thread detail in part and drawing files.  Just so it's clear.  I don't mean thread representation, I mean the real thing accurately modeled.  However, in an assembly with 200+ fasteners with threads, I imagine that will cause performance issues.  So you'd want a minimized version of that fastener for assemblies only.

What do people do?

Use configuratons, and turn the threads off each fastener in the assembly?

Use lightweight components?

Other?

Appreciate any insights.
