Few months ago our firm decided to switch from AutoCAD to SolidWorks for the creation of manufacturing documentation. As SolidWorks administrator I was very happy about this move. Anyway we modeled every product in SolidWorks 3D, why not use the drawing component and save time during technical drawing creation. After completing couple of projects with this strategy I started to regret switching to SolidWorks Drawings. Not only that the component is very slow but it is seems to be very unreliable too. Very often parts will disappear from the views, printing and saving to PDF will be very different from what you see on the screen, invisible lines become visible, etc.
The problem is that correcting all this is causing us delays and the fixes don't always work.
Have you experienced this and what solution to the problem have you found?
