I am trying to build a workstation to use for CAD/CAM and CNCcontrol software. I am trying to figure out a good card to use forthis workstation.
A lot of people telling me that workstaion cards are the way to go,while others say that modern day gaming cards are capable ofhandling OpenGL far greater than low-mid range workstation cards.Also gaming cards are far more superior on things beyond OpenGL.
Does SolidWorks use only OpenGL or does it use other configurationssuch as OGL and D3D?
Mind you, my budget is no more than \$150 for a card. It's atemporary workstation on a budget.
