In my design, the main assembly is quite large and slow to work with.  I was working on a specific component and made a separate assy with the related parts so I could see it in context.  I needed to copy some surfaces from adjecent models and I mistakenly did so in this alternate assembly which I had intended to be temporary.

In Proe/Creo (whih I have more experienc with) I'd simply open the main assembly and use the edit references tool on the feature and pick the replacement references there.  There amy be feature failures to deal with, but likely not.

Is there a way in Solidworks (2012) to reroute these references to the main assembly?
