I am using a copy of 2008 server R2 as a workstation for Solidworks. For the most part, it works fine. It does not work fine at erradic times; if it isn't working on a feature, it will not work on that feature for that specific part. It WILL, however, function correctly on a different part. The features can be done on an XP machine everytime, so the file is not corrupt.
Example 1: I am designing a mold for "Part A". I add a scale value of 1.2. It gives me an error (I had the message, but I don't have time to dig it up right now). The part can be scaled on Win7x64 and XPx32 without hitch. I can perform a scaling on "Part B" and "C" fine... But "Part A" is a no go on my current rig.
Example 2: I try an "Extruded Cut" (Start condition:surface. End condition: .002 offset from [different] surface). Similar situation... It works on "Part B" but not "Part C". It will function on "Part B" on my XP rig without hitch. The error on my server says something to the effect of "incorrect end condition" or something like that.
I tried to see if "Software OpenGL" could fix it(worth trying anyway)... nope.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help!!
Neal
