Not sure what the issue is, and honestly, I'm afraid I'll forget to even come back to this part of the platform to try to find out the answer... especially as this was something I needed to do urgently... an hour and a half ago. For about the last 3 months (I've had solidworks for 4 months) the software loads up the illustration for the initial load out, and it gets to "verifying license" then makes a "beepboop" sound at me, closes, and nothing else occurs. No message. No way to log in. No way to enter license information, nor even a request for it, or even an indication that's the problem other than an assumption based on the beep-boops timing.
Initially this happened, I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it, and the versions were listed differently than before, leaving the option I'd previously had listed in my syllabus unavailable. However, the same-year but newer version did work... for about 3 days. Then it just also started doing this. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it again, and it worked... for... about 2 nights. Now it's not working when I uninstall or reinstall it, and I'm kind of tired of frying my hard drive for this software's wonkiness.
Any suggestions here? Cause, I've used all 3 options available tonight, and none will work, if I'm logged in, or not or anything. Made 3 new files Thursday night. Nothing about my computer has changed since then. I booted it up today, it's doing it again.
I don't have an option to do anything to verify any information about myself until AFTER this occurs anyway... so... There's no work around.
Also noteworthy; my account is a student account, I'm using a student download, I am a student, I use a student email... I do not have access to student support. It says it's restricted. So, I guess kudos on that one too there.
Seriously, please help. I need this software to work. I don't have a technical issue with using it. This software's insanely user-friendly... when it works. However, that's not been the case about 75% of the time I've needed to use it so far.
