I have been trying to simulate air flow over an aircraft propeller at a given RPM but I'm not getting good results. When I simulate flow trajectories it I get a strange pattern, especially around the tips of the blades and behind the propeller, it doesn't "seem right" I do not know what is causing this, any ideas? I have extruded a cylinder that is used to simulate a rotating volume of air rotating at a given RPM, this way the blades are fixed. I also made sure to set it up as external and not internal flow. What could be wrong? The surface map is reflecting the velocity at that given span distance.
