Solidworks polygonal export plugin & decals?

Hi All,

I have an existing application that pulls triangles / colors / material names/properties and textures out of assemblies and exports them to a different 3D format  (OpenSceneGraph, osg, ive).

My question is, I see that our code still extracts texture coordinates from the model, but I am wondering if there is any other texture transform data and how that should be interpreted.  It seems like the decals can be projected across multiple parts?  How do I determine the texture transform?  How different are decals from textures, and what makes them different from an API standpoint.
