Hi all,
I'm using SolidWorks 2012 Premium, and I'm attempting to define the motion of a part along a path in a Motion Analysis study. It appears that the way to do this is using a motor and a path mate. I understand that I need to include the SolidWorks Motion add-in, however when I tick the box under "Active Add-ins" (Tools --> Add-ins) I get the following two messages, displayed in sequence:
"SolidWorks Motion authorization failed."
"Unable to initialize the Add-In component."
The funny thing is, other add-ins associated with SolidWorks Premium load just fine - I have no problem loading the SolidWorks Toolbox, PhotoView 360, ect.
I've searched around the SolidWorks forums and the web, and have seen references to a similar problem where the Flow Simulation was not loading correctly - this was solved by altering a text string associated with SolidWorks licenses in the Registry Editor.
I'm attempting to move the part for the purposes of a video. If, in the end, I'm unable to load the Motion add-in, could I possibly get away with defining the "Percent along path" of the path mate at different points in time in the video?
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Also, this is my first post on this forum, so please let me know if more info is required, ect.
Thanks.
