Hey All,

I'm new here so please pardon any newbie mistakes I make!

In real life I'm testing the strength of borosilicate glass by running impact tests on it. Basically, I'm dropping a 1 kg mass onto samples of borosilicate glass from various heights and seeing what happens.

I'm trying to recreate this test in simulation using a drop test, but I'm having trouble doing so. Specifically, I'm having trouble with the way simulation sets up drop tests in that it seems that solidworks only allows you to drop things onto an "imaginary" rigid surface. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on running such a test, or if someone had any ideas for how I could recreate it in solidworks?
