Solid Profile Cut Sweep Tangent Continuous Path

Hi folks,

I would like to model the path a rotating cutting tool (like an endmill). This tool will translate along one axis to a given point then translate along another axis. There should not be a radius in the tool path.

  • Question 1: How can I model this accurately?
  • Question 2: When I make the path tangent continuous, I can go down to .0101 radius, but .0100 radius fails with an error about Tangent Continuous path. The path is no less tangent continuous than it was when the radius was one tenth larger. What does SolidWorks actually want?

Maybe this is just a rant, but I would love some grasp of reality from the developers.
