Hello Fellow Solidworks Members,
I don't know if this is possible, which is why I am here. What I would like to do is to create a print for lets say a bracket. I have a .PRT file for this item and a .SLDDRW file. What I am hoping to do is to have the bracket .SLDDRW (Sheet 1) as lets say Sheet 2 in an assembly .SLDDRW. The reason I want to do this is so when I run my macro to print the PDF, all components/drawings required for the assembly are captured inside of one file vs multiple. In some cases, we could have up to 10 different drawings needed per assembly. Although still the same amount of pages if printed, the PDF is one file and can be viewed much easier. We are looking to go electronic with viewing prints on the production side.
I am aware that you can copy a sheet from one file and paste into another, but I do not believe the sheets are associative at that point, correct?
Any advice or input on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Dustin
