We make a standard product (a sliding polycarbonate cover to protect a digital sign) that varies in size depending on the sign.

I've modelled the assembly using skeleton part method, exactly as per you instructions. Works great, I can change the dimensions in the master/ skeleton part and everything updates perfectly.

Then I do a pack and go to save a copy of all the assemblies, parts, drawings for an individual part. It saves a copy of the skeleton part, just as it should. However, all the parts within the assemblies retain their references to the original skeleton part.

I've tried everything I can think of (i.e. renaming the skeleton part, not renaming the part) and everything still retains reference to the original part - it's driving me nuts!

I could send you a zip file of the assembly if that would help.
