Show Hidden Edges of a Patterned Part Fails

I can show hidden edges of a bolt. Then show hidden edges of a petterned bolt. It displays for a few seconds then disapears.

A second problem which has been around for many years is that hidden lines look like solid lines.

Come on SW, fix the software for us.
