Ok, I know I'm out of my mind, but I need to shell this. The normal shell method doesn't stand a chance. I could sit here and manually offset, extend, trim surfaces and maybe make this work, but I need another method. Short of a 4 hour job of manually modeling the shell with lofted surfaces, I don't see a way to do this. Does anybody have a method, even a hack method that might allow me to approximate a shell for a part with a lot of organic detail? I've thought about trying to use a copied body with scaling, but I don't think that will work because of the width of the part and the detail. Happy to entertain crazy ideas.
