Hi,
I have just modeled a strip of Beryllum Copper fingers in SWX.
The challenge for me was to create some sort of "sphere" at the top of the strip.
When the strip is bent to form a closed circle, the tip of the sphere comes
in contact with a circular s/s ring. That's the idea!
I tried using sheet metal and a form tool, but that didn't work in the end.
When folding, SWX was leaving a big "hole" where the form tool had been applied.
I had a small win using surfaces. That's the only solution I could think of.
The issue is when I array the solid body, it leaves an visible edge between each instance.
Would anyone have the time to see what is wrong, please?
I very rarely do anything that exotic: our parts are very straight forward!
The attached part has only 5 instances, for the sake of making the file smaller.
In reality, the strip is ~7" long.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
ps: I am able to Combine all bodies and the edges go away.
I am just curious to find out what's wrong!
