Currently, when I select "revision > add revision" in the revision table of my drawings, it results in the "revision" custom property in my file automatically changing to match the newest revision added. Is there any way to disable this feature such that the custom property doesn't get affected?
We are on EPDM and our doc control system requires intermediate revisions between releases for tracking non-released drawings that were created for getting quotes on interim versions (don't askme why we allow for that... that's its own issue). For example, our engineering releases follow P01, P02, P03..., but we also have P01.01, P01.02 "revisions" for drafts that were created between P01 and P02 but have not yet been released. Because of this, even when our EPDM workflows put a file at say, P01.01, when our users use "revision > add revision" instead of "insert row below" (as we've directed them to do), it will automatically change the revision to the next revision based on the system selected in SolidWorks (A, B, C... or 1, 2, 3...), thereby creating a ton of revision errors in our PDM database.
Thanks,
Sally
