PCS mold bases

In the past I have never liked the mold base assembliesavailable from DME and others. They have been difficult to workwith-mainly because they could not be easily revised. I recentlygot an e-mail from PCS saying they were introducing fully-featuredmold base assemblies in SW format.

I downloaded one to look at and it looks promising. You request aspecific base with plate thicknesses, etc and that is what you get. However, everythig is mated. This means that if you change yourmind about a plate thickness everything else moves accordingly.still no configurations, though so you do need to editcomponents-but at least you can. Moving return pins, or screws isslightly easier because the component moves with the holes, but Idon't think the holes are linked together.

I've built my own libraries, so will probably still use mine fornow. However, they are also offering b-seris and t-series, whichcause me a little difficulty at first, so that may come in handy.

Anyway-just thought I'd mention this.SolidworksPlastics And Mold Design
