Howdy! First post here ..........

I need a bit of help figuring out some organzation for parts that have multiple part numbers.

Our company sells a machine that is made in Europe. The part numbers they use over there dont work with our standard, so we make our own part number equivilant.

EX:

Europe Part Number - ABC-1234

American Part Number - 1234567

The company that makes the machine in Europe is not very good at making parts lists for us, and they only put their PN's in the parts lists. I'll probally end up re-doing the parts lists with our solidworks standard layout.

So right now, tech support has an excel sheet with all the numbers showing what American part number is equal to what european part number.

What I would like is a way to streamline this in solidworks BOM's. I'm pretty sure the parts in solidworks are under the American PN. We just need a way to display the European PN in the BOM.

What would be the simplest way of doing this? Is there a way to do it that relys on the excel sheet, or would it be a bunch of entering PN's manually into parts?
